Project Management 2007 on 28 February in Manchester

On the 28 February 2007, ‘Project Management 2007’, took place at the prestigious Bridgewater Hall in Manchester



Drs. Richard Moret, Director of the Expecto PRINCE2 Academy, describing his work with the Dutch Government in developing chain project management - a new approach to complex projects.

Starting with PRINCE2 in organisations

Worldwide project management is a growing process in organisations. PRINCE2 is worldwide the most standard method for project based working. More and more organisations are professionalize their project management process. Most of the time the project managers follow courses and trainings. Despite of all the trainings and project management qualifications a lot of project managers, project teams and organisations find it very difficult to use a method effectively in daily practice. In my daily job I am confronted with organisations having problems in using methods as PRINCE2 in the daily practice. I see a lot of organisations having trained all the people involved in projects but don't have setup an implementation strategy or a vision about the use and development of the method. I my daily work as a PRINCE2 Consultant I develop methods and techniques to help organisations using project management skills and PRINCE2 effectively. Because I believe it is that from knowledge and experience in PRINCE2 and project management skills, it becomes an art to use it in daily practice.
